Designated spaces for people with reduced mobility will be available at various points along the route, such as Avenida Dos de Mayo, Plaza de España, and areas near Santa María de la Alegría. Sensory experiences will also be offered for people with visual impairments.
In addition, the brotherhoods will promote various solidarity initiatives, such as blood donation campaigns in collaboration with the Red Cross and food collections together with Cáritas, consolidating the social character of this celebration.
Boost to the hospitality and local commerce sectors
Beyond its religious and cultural significance, Holy Week also represents a major economic driver for the city. During these days, Móstoles welcomes numerous visitors who, in addition to attending the processions, enjoy the town's gastronomic, commercial, and leisure offerings.
Local restaurants and bars are joining in the celebration with special Lenten menus, featuring traditional dishes like cod, stews, and French toast, as well as innovative creations inspired by local traditions. Many establishments are also extending their hours and opening more reservations to accommodate the increased demand.
Meanwhile, local businesses experience a significant increase in activity. Fashion boutiques, bakeries, and flower shops become key destinations during this time, helping to keep the town's commercial fabric and identity alive.
